Summer officially arrives on June 21, but the Victoria Day long weekend is often pegged as the unofficial start of summer.

While some people will head to the cottage, others will be in town hanging out on the patio or enjoying local events. Here in Victoria, B.C. there are festivities all weekend. If you love bands and drums check out these free events here!

Celebrate Victoria Day in British Columbia’s capital city at the 119th Island Farms Victoria Day Parade on Monday, May 22nd!  This is Victoria’s largest parade, attracting well over 100,000 people.  It features Canadian and American marching bands, community and commercial floats, cultural shows, and festive clowns.  Led by the Canadian Forces, this annual event is free and fun for the whole family! And there will be Food Trucks!

We are open all weekend from 9 am to 6 pm so drop by and get a bicycle to explore Victoria By Bike, check out the parade, the bands, and drums!
