At The Pedaler, we take pride in our knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Since we like our crew so much, we thought you’d like to get to know them too! Check back here for profiles of all our Pedalers, get to know the team, and learn more about this dynamic city!
This is Will Vibert’s first season working at The Pedaler. Will has been life-long friends with a few of our other staff members who had loved working here last summer, so he decided to apply for himself to see what all the fuss is about (turns out we’re awesome, so he stayed).
Will’s favourite ride right now is the Colquitz River Trail because of the gravel grinding you get to do while riding through the trees (check out this awesome article about the trail from the local newspaper Times Colonist). After a ride along the trail, Will’s current favourite beer is the Red Hook ESB from Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville, Washington (not a local beer, but we’ll try to forgive him).
Will’s favourite tour stop is the viewpoint at Moss Rock on our Castles, Hoods and Legends tour. He grew up in the neighbourhood and had been frequenting Moss Rock Park long before working at The Pedaler.
When asked which bike was his favourite at The Pedaler, Will replied “The penny farthing,” which seems like a weird answer since we don’t actually have a Penny Farthing…except for the one on display in the front window of our shop. It is utterly unrideable, but Will dreams of one day taking it out on the road.
