Seeking enthusiastic bicycle tour guides.

The Pedaler Cycling Tours is the premiere provider of lighthearted, urban bicycle tours. Our website lists our creative menu of guided bicycle tours that our customers have come to love. The work environment at our funky downtown shop is fast paced with a focus on providing amazing customer service. If you love riding a bicycle (with or without lycra), sharing your love of Victoria, and meeting new people, this may be the perfect job for you!

Training is provided so you learn how to lead our carefully designed guided bicycle tours.

You must be a keen cyclist. This does not mean just speeding around in lycra, although that is OK, rather it means you should enjoy the simple pleasure of cruising around town on a bicycle exploring the neighbourhoods, cafes and pubs.

You must have local knowledge and interest in some of these areas: local history, the craft beer scene, the coffee culture/cafe scene, the local food scene, local cycling routes and pathways, leading tour groups. You will learn on the job so you should bring an eagerness to learn more about Victoria on your own and from our other guides.

You must be comfortable leading a group, speaking in front of a group, and possess the flexibility to adapt your style to suit your audience.

You will be required to obtain a general first aid certificate if you do not already have one. This is a one day course (or two evenings) offered by local service providers.

This is a part-time on-call position. Our business hours are 9am to 6pm from March 1 to October 31st, with tours typically ending by 4pm. If you have an evening job, this could be a great complement.

Email a resume to info@thepedaler.ca with subject line “Tour Guide 2017”. Tell us why we would be crazy not to include you on our team.
